Finishing up "The Expanse" (by James SA Corey) book series **NO SPOILERS**

Wow. Just wow. I'm reading the very last book in the series.

My thoughts:

1. If you're a fan of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, then read The Expanse. You will find strong similarities between the characters across each series, but they will feel unique in their own way.

2. Space is scary.

3. It's a great series for smart people. A lot of the science is well researched. All of the technologies are reasonable extrapolations of our current technologies.

1. The TV series is great too

Surprisingly good special effects for a TV show.

Runs pretty accurate to the books so far but I am only half way through reading the books.

2. I enjoyed the books more than the series.

I didn't like the casting.
As for the books, I thought there was only one clinker, the religious episode.
The last book was a real slog. It should have been titled I NEED SOME SLEEP, as that line must have been used a hundred times.

3. It ran a bit out of steam by the end of the series

but yeah, I loved the books. The Amazon series is pretty good too.

5. I thought that Tiamath's Wrath was the 2nd best book

of the series after Nemesis Games.
