Remember Capt. Sully land the river landing?
He said something to the effect of now I know why I spent all those hours in a trainer.

You can find plenty of landings like this on the internet. Normally they like to land planes into a head wind to reduce ground speed.
It is also why some airports have a diagonal runway because of crosswinds.

Great job by the pilot. I've seen worse and rougher landings on much better days.

and the better decision would have been to go around rather than risk going off the runway. When I was learning to fly I was told to use my superior judgment to avoid having to use my superior skills.
