https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181695700Tried signing up for Informed Delivery. Messed it up. Finally got a helpful person in troubleshooting. She deleted my bogus, mistake account. Tried walking me through the process to properly sign me up for ID, but now I have to physically go to the PO with a bar code. I'll get a code there with identification.
Still worried about my lack of mail since starting this whole ID to-do. Maybe we just don't have mail since last Wednesday. She and I were on the phone 40 minutes.
Very stressful and concerning about not getting mail.

(102,310 posts)who can intervene. Someone in IT. My sister had an issue with her PO Box being closed down because her payment was not credited to the correct account. Took her weeks but was finally able to get it cleared up-- based on the above (AND having local PO personnel likewise communicating on her behalf).
Good luck.

(10,698 posts)I wish I'd never tried to sign up. More worried about not getting mail and this has been the only change

(102,310 posts)They can intercede with your regular carrier.

(31,112 posts)If no PO Box, just ask them at the office when you go there with the bar code. Not fun or convenient, but ask them!
But betting it is a coincidence.

(10,698 posts)No PO Box. I hope it's just a coincidence. I really do. Not even junk mail and we got it almost daily

(6,760 posts)I was zapped by lightning )I meant my house but what just as close) and out of power for 2 days. Perhaps some place near you experienced the same including Dejoy's "streamlined" USPS?

(10,698 posts)I'll probably have to visit my po if nothing comes tomorrow. We didn't really have bad storms here. I've been told that even messed-up ID would not effect my physical mail delivery by 3 postal agents, but I'm still worried. And ID was the only thing that changed in the last week
I'm not signing up for anything again

If you live in an apt you should let
mgmt know.
Also, always go to the post office that services
your box.
One year someone knocked over
our mail box...instead of holding the mail,
the idiot carrier started marking return to sender
on everything. We told the manager at the PO.
She was not pleased. The carrier almost screwed up
our property tax exemption as our mail was returned to the
tax office. We got a call from the city..small town, sort of...
"You all didn't move. How come we got your water bill back?"
Go to the post office.

(10,698 posts)Tomorrow we get the informed delivery code. Then our po is still no mail. I'm sick from this. I get lots of life altering things thru mail.

(646 posts)Also, there is a form you
can fill out telling them
who lives at the address.

(10,698 posts)I went to my po, not the one that delivers my mail, for my code. I don't know what he did. When I sign in, it says welcome to ID.
Nothing of which makes me feel better about not getting any mail since last Wednesday. They swear ID has nothing to do with physical mail delivery
