I lost 2 colleagues suddenly this past week

I worked with one extensively for about 16 years though we didn't work in the same office. She apparently had a heart attack or stroke. I honestly can't believe I will never talk to her again.
The other was killed when she was taking a walk and was clipped by the side mirror of a passing jeep. Suffered a catastrophic head injury.
She was tiny but fierce. She was looking forward to retiring in September. She was a world traveler, loved concerts and the theater. It's just so heartbreaking.
Both were proud active Democrats. Just gone.
Life is not fair.
