Attended a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention in Minneapolis over the weekend. Tested NEGATIVE.

Called CONvergence.

A total blast convention I have attended since 2004. A celebration of Pop Culture that continues to grow.

As a precaution the past 2 years since COVID arrived on the scene, all attendees this year, as with last, had to meet the CDC protocols regarding Vaccines, Boosters, etc., in order to receive their badges. All attendees had to be masked at all times while inside the Hyatt Regency property and be mindful about not being too close to one another.

Out of close to 3,600 attendees, 4 did test positive for COVID. I also Volunteer at Registration and with Badge checking. All people have to see Registration first. All those who registered for this convention received an email updating that 4 people tested positive and that it was recommended we all get tested. So I did yesterday morning at my Health Provider, getting swabbed up the nose for the PCR test. The results came back a few hours ago and I was NEGATIVE.

Hoping next year's Con will be maskless. Having taken safety precautions this year is crucial in making sure that by July of 2023, COVID will be less of an issue.
