This shadow on the Superstition Mountains, Apache Junction, AZ, the cougar, only appears twice a year for approximately a week just as the sun is setting.

Ever mentioned this to me..I share my morning coffee with this mountain range every morning...about 15 miles east of this mtn. Range...

I see a road trip for photos coming up...seems to be visible 3rd week of March and Sept...the white markings running across the top of the mountain gives a hint of where to look..thanks for posting..
