(53,784 posts)Typography design/creation is a highly skilled and rewarding field and can be lucrative, as can be graphic design if you make it up to creative director and art director status.

(16,927 posts)I'm pointing out that this kid is WAY beyond many his age in his 'recognition of patterns' AND remembering them. Having taught first grade I had kids that struggled to 'print' (is 'chicken scratch' a recognized 'font?') - and some would have problems with differentiating 'b' from 'd' - 'p' from 'q' - issues like that. Does NOT seem to be a 'problem' with THIS kid!
Check out Howard Gardner's 'Theory of Multiple Intelligences' - one can get lost in SO much information and experiences! This source:
https://www.simplypsychology.org/multiple-intelligences.html
really points out what you had alluded to: 'design/creation' - and lists it as follows:
3 Spatial Intelligence (picture smart)
Spatial intelligence features the potential to recognize and manipulate the patterns of wide space (those used, for instance, by navigators and pilots) as well as the patterns of more confined areas, such as those of importance to sculptors, surgeons, chess players, graphic artists, or architects.
People with spatial intelligence, such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Amelia Earhart, have an ability to recognize and manipulate large-scale and fine-grained spatial images.
Potential Career Choices
Careers you could dominate with your spatial intelligence:
Pilot
Surgeon
Architect
Graphic Artist
Interior Decorator
Thanks for asking - fun to look into situations and find some great possibilities - and this kid seems to have them!

(53,784 posts)in order to navigate in a complex and crowded society have to developed some level of multiple intelligences?

(16,927 posts)One would like to think that the individual would 'work' to develop skills to help with their 'weaknesses' - and that is also to say that you don't have just 'ONE' strength - and the awareness of your own strengths and weaknesses can help one, as you say, navigate this crazy world.
Unfortunately, lately, it seems apparent that WAY TOO MANY have failed to do so and instead insist on the "MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY" approach to dealing with that 'complex and crowded society.'
