This baby is visually impaired, and then he was given additional glasses, so he could see clearly. His smile when he saw his mother and father clearly😍

I think it's she, not he.... But that's irrelevant.

my Mom, looking out the window, and I asked her 'do you always see the individual leaves in the tree?' I had never seen that before. I probably should have gotten glasses way earlier. LOL!

Coke bottle glasses.

"I got my first pair of glasses for my eighth birthday, and saw birds flying, the tops of trees, even clouds for the first time in my life,” says Mothersbaugh. “It was amazing! I had never seen chimney smoke or the roof of a house, and I immediately started drawing everything I saw."

After my mom with me in the stroller at around 2 yrs old had men on the street stop to compliment her, then looked down at me and too many times I looked up and said "Daddy!" she realized I might have a problem.

My oldest memory goes back to about 3 1/2 yrs.
I got my first glasses sometime as a 2 yr old!
I have no memories of not having glasses.

And, yup, I have just about coke bottle glasses. And very grateful I can see well enough. 🧡🥰👍

when he was 18 months old. Completely changed him.

He used to pull things up to his face and stare at them blankly. I was afraid that he was developmentally/mentally disabled. He did not, or could not, handle ordinary things for a toddler, like putting plastic rings on a spike.

After he got his glasses, he smiled and laughed at everyone. No more squinting frowns or dull looks lacking recognition of people. He quickly learned to do things that he had not been able to do before that.

It was heartbreaking to see such a little toddler with thick lenses, but also very gratifying to see the transformation in him.
