3. I love dogs, but as a mailman, I can't count how many times I've been bitten.

Please don't let your dogs out to "greet" the mailman unless the dog is familiar with the person. Dogs may see someone approaching the house as a threat to their people or their territory.

I have never been bit without this follow-up from the owner. "He doesn't bite! I don't know what got into him!"

In many cases, if the attack is severe, the family dog will be taken away and euthanized.

would have Snoopy follow him throughout his delivery route. Snoopy was a big boxer.
