Rented a car this weekend

Opel Astra. It is a four door wagon. We don't have a car here in Munich so we got one for the weekend and an extra day for errands.
It is a nice car. Roomy for 4 people and I got 40 mpg. That is a little below what my Prius got 7 years ago but not too shabby. It was quite peppy also with a 6 speed manual and air.

You got yourself a pretty decent car. The new generation Opel Astra (1997) is a very good car. It has a solid construction and doesn't feel cheap. The seats are well padded, the cabin is well insulated and the car is very quiet. It has a smooth and precise gearshift. Acceleration is good and the car is peppy around town. The Astra is a very good deal for the money.
