Curiously, the word "much" is not on that list.

"Thank you very much" sounds better than "Thank you much."

But I’ve never been able to come up with a good replacement for “very much.” the closest I’ve found is “so much” and that doesn’t have the same impact.

the point that we were excessive in our use of the word "very." He made one of the students take an article that had been turned in and read it out loud, substituting "damn" for "very" each time it occurred. We all thought it was damn funny!

Actually, that might also mean "pseudo-fascist."

But words can have more than one meaning.
