I caught a severe sore throughly - very painful. Would not wish it on anyone. It’s going around.

The other thing I do is blast the overhead vent on my face. That’s the cleanest air on the plane.

that you wear a mask. Being right next to unmasked people for a few hours raises your chances of getting sick. Wearing a mask lowers your odds.

I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten COVID from being stuck in middle seats and not wearing a mask. I wear one all the time on airplanes now.

we can do it

We’ve gone on 8 trips, not just one. Some people are still masking. Maybe a third on last flights from PHL- SEA.

and I heard the masking is rare on planes or in airport. I am going to seal on the N95 for dear life, literally.
I shudder thinking of being that close to who knows who with what knows what for that length of time, but I guess I have to hope the mask, the 5x vax, and promise of Paxlovid if I catch it is going to have to be enough if I ever want to do any substantial travel in the foreseeable future.

Flew last week. Maybe 10% at most were wearing masks at both Detroit Metro and Tampa International.

We were masked but we were the exception. It seemed like for every 1 mask about 20 were unmasked. I was kind of surprised.

to slide up under the mask - too extreme?

We're flying out of Atlanta which is always a zoo - TSA lines packed with people & over an hour wait times. After watching the flying nightmares unfold last month we're really dreading it.

I only took 3 domestic flights while in the USA this past summer. Most were unmasked, and I wasn’t thrilled, but you can’t get from Boston to Washington to Dallas to Chicago in 18 days unless you spend your entire time driving and sleeping, and that’s not what I came for.
