Benefit of removing my name and contact info on ten most used people finder sites. Though more are now happening 2-3 now.

It's infuriating.

I don't answer those, but after six of them I thought maybe it was something important.

So I did a search for the number, and the first thing that popped up was Medicare scam.

It even provided a transcript. They would ask you to complete a survey about your experience with Medicare. They would be able to take your answers and identify your account.

My question is, if this is a widely known scam operation, why isn't it shut down? Seems like crooks can operate in the open with impunity.

And the DNC list is a joke. I suffer from anxiety, and numerous bs calls make me nervous.

So I totally get the anxiety.

I don’t think engaging them does any good, either, because the phone number list just gets passed around, even though they should take your number off when you tell them to. I’ve tried that, and it doesn’t work. So I just let the phone ring.

The telephone is a wonderful invention.

Some days it seems they come right after one another. I got one the other day and I checked the area code, and it was from some unincorporated area north of San Francisco. I rarely use my landline anymore, so if I don’t recognize the number, I don’t pick up. Most calls are ID’d as “Unknown Caller” or “Suspected Spam.”
