Super squash: 2,554-pound pumpkin carves out new US record

CLARENCE, N.Y. (AP) — A 2,554-pound pumpkin grown in upstate New York has set a new U.S. record for the heaviest.

State and national records fell over the weekend at the Great Pumpkin Farm in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence, when Scott Andrusz’s entry broke the previous national record of 2,528 pounds, The Buffalo News reported.

a friend who showed giant bull mastiffs, and she invited me to several shows. The level of competetiveness, rancor, suspicion, jealousy, etc., blew me away. And then it cracked me up.

I had a friend who had different bingo halls on her calendar for practically every day of the week. It was amazing. Hopefully she evened out financially.

in NM. I was there for ten days. She took me to seven different bingo halls. I was stunned at the amount of money flowing through those places.

Actually, we won't know this years Half Moon Bay's weigh-in results until the Columbus Day weekend.

It's not uncommon to see unsold Halloween pumpkins dumped in the fields. The lazy fluffy ewes like it if they are busted up first.

...reported a 960# pumpkin thus year. I thought that was huge.
This thing is 2.5 times the size. That's one big pumpkin!
