We got pumpkins this weekend
The county home residents have a big farm they work. They use the produce for their meals and sell the excess. The prices are pretty good. I bought 2 pumpkins and got 3 ears of calico corn, My daughter bought 4 pumpkins. $18 for all that. I roasted the smaller of the 2 pumpkins I got, and will freeze that for holiday baking. I roasted the seeds so she could take them home today.
I've roasted pumpkin seeds for my daughters since they were in grade school. I'll roast another batch for my local daughter. So, I'll need to buy a few more pumpkins. The guy said they are harvesting again Tuesday. They are easy decoaration and the critters in my yard help dispose of them after the fall holidays.

Good idea. Either saying farewell to summer or getting ahead till next spring
