Vincent Price horror

Eric Alper 🎧 @ThatEricAlper 17h
When Vincent Price agreed to do the voice in Michael Jackson's "Thriller," he was given a choice between taking a percentage of the album proceeds or being paid a flat fee of $20,000. He chose the $20K.

...probably more per year in the early ones.

Price lived about 10 years after that. 1% would leave 80k on the floor.

Despite the obviously massive success of the record, it's still kinda meaningless info w/o knowing the % they were offering him.

I'd imagine there was a great deal of confidence in that album being a big success. As much as it WAS? That's probably beyond their wildest dreams. But one might guess they weren't offering large %'s out for people to be on it. They knew they had a hit on their hands.

Most importantly, with or without Vincent Price.

Now I think the horror is this thread.

We ate at a joint called Lebowskis tonight.
In Glasgow, Scotland. The food was bitchin!

We actually went last night and could not get a table. Tonight we went earlier and wasn’t quite finished with a pint before we got a table.

We started with Haggis and black pudding fritters. I had Mac and cheese skillet with katsu chicken and gravy topper. Omg! The chicken melted in your mouth and the breading was lovely too!!!!

Having a great trip so far!
Cheers mate!

It was a film program that ran for 20 or 30 weeks (It was the summer of 55 or 56)...???...

So, Gleason and Art Carney and the two wives in the show, were offered a certain large amount of money for each week's
show, or a cut of the profits of the show.

It was the lady who was Art Carney's wife, who took the cut of the show. The other 3 took the large amounts of money.
...........I don't remember her name, but she became a millionaire, while the others took the money. (It was something like 30 or 40 thousand a month or week which was a large amount in 1955 or 6.

Now you can't make this up. One person took the percentage of the show, and the others took the large amounts. No one knew how popular that show would become.
