Big home on the shoreline - converted to a duplex. Kinda weird in that it had the worst wallpaper that you could imagine. Tastes were different in the 50s.

Gates are his speciality

"Gates appeal to me because of the negative space they allow. They can be closed but at the same time they allow the seasons and breezes to enter and flow. They can shut you out or shut you in. And in some ways there is no difference." — Bob Dylan

because he was shorter than many of his co-stars, including leading ladies, his scenes were often shot with him on horseback or standing on a box.

Henry David Thoreau was not a strict vegetarian and would eat fish or other meat to be polite if a dinner host served it, but he himself called meat "unclean" and "filthy."

I wonder if, because he cared about the welfare of animals and wrote about seeing dirty barns and other dirty enclosures for animals, he was referring to that and to the conditions by which meat was prepared, and not to animal flesh itself being unclean.

No humane being, past the thoughtless age of boyhood, will wantonly murder any creature, which holds its life by the same tenure that he does. The hare in its extremity cries like a child.

~ Henry David Thoreau

Is Barack Obama's 11th great grandfather by DNA analysis. Ralph Bunche was also a descendant. Also when Don Drysdale was pitching for Van Nueys High School his 1st baseman was Robert Redford.

Here's a photo of him from the 1983 movie Christine.
