turned into solid friendships that are still going strong. Anyone available gathers every Saturday evening either in my yard or the neighbors across the street's driveway (depends on the time of year/shade) and have started a Friendsgiving tradition the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Would never have happened without COVID. Silver linings where you can make them!

I so know what you mean. I am aware of several similar "communities" that drifted apart after vaccination. A shame!

in their parking lot, you could walk around, talk with people at a distance.

I know it was hard for them, but it was such a rare treat to be able to spend so much time with them, have us all pause in the act of making our way through life and catch up with each other. We're back to seeing each other once a month or so. I do miss seeing them so much more.
