I knew various devices were used to simulate background sounds to further the realistic or expected environment in which the scene was occurring, but this brings it to life. This technique looks a real workout. Thank you for posting it.

when early video recording metholds one news reel company went round and recorded sound fx for movies . now they are called sound rafts and or beds .
these would include car doors slamming and this would be done for a particular car. note : the sounds u may hear on film or tv may not be the actual sounds .
What the Heck is "Foley"? Foley effects are sound effects added to the film during post production (after the shooting stops). They include sounds such as footsteps, clothes rustling, crockery clinking, paper folding, doors opening and slamming, punches hitting, glass breaking, etc. etc. my oldest sis worked with a cranky jerk of a man doing sound fx. her first job. i used to drive her crazy r making my own sounds . :evIlgrin:
