The work by Matisse was included in a slide show I created, "The Beauty Project," of works of art I considered beautiful.

She doesn't know that much about art but Matisse is surpassingly beautiful in his fauvist color paintings. No wonder she likes it so much!

I'm an art historian, not an interior decorator, but anyone can see its appeal.

It was showing it in a frame. I wanted it framed to save her the effort.

She is going with me and her mother to Barcelona and Paris next March. Sadly, this is not a Matisse she will see. I believe the original is in a museum in Nice.
