I teach a moral psychology class, and we spend part of the first day discussing the trolley problem, which is a frequently used ethical dilemma in discussions of morality. When I was teaching this class in the fall of 2016, I returned home after the first day of class and was playing trains with my son. I thought it would be interesting to see his response to the trolley problem and to share it with my class. This is what he did.
