Does anyone have a link to promo codes for Tracfone?

I'm trying to do my annual refill for a smartphone. For the last two years, I've found promo codes online that were worth $50.

Nothing I tried worked, not even the $15-off code.

2. The site to which I refer has been my go-to site for Tracfone promo codes for a while.

If they don't have one, I suspect no one does. They have a comment site, and recent comments show that promo codes aren't working. $50 off on a $125 card was a pretty good deal. I don't need any extra free minutes. I'm a light user.

4. I went through some of those, including the Forbes site.

It sent me right back to Tracfone, but to a different starting page at Tracfone.

If you start at that page, you can proceed to checkout, attempt to apply the code 44282, and the code will be accepted. If you start at the refill site and proceed to checkout, 44282 won't work. Very strange.

At least I'm up to $15 off now. That's a far cry from last year's $50 off.

The codes at https://tracfoneusermanual.net/tracfone-promo-codes/ either do not work or give you less than they say they will.

I'm hoping that some DUer has found the double super secret $50-off promo code.

Also, if you can wait, I saw a space on Groupon to put in email to receive update if/when a deal becomes available.

6. No. I don't think I'm ready for that agony.

The person on the chat line says that the codes are generated somewhere else (in so many words) and that they can't provide any.

My plan will run out in a few days. Tracfone offers on Black Friday will probably be hardware and not plan refills.

8. Smartphones and promo codes

As of several year ago, I have had no luck with promo codes on smartphones.
The codes worked well on the older non-smart phones, but those are mostly
all gone now. What I do to get a break on the yearly service is buy a new phone,
usually from qvc or hsn, tho they sometimes have good deals on ebay, too.
Here is what is in Tracfone's ebay store now :

9. Amazing. It's cheaper to buy a phone and the time than it is to refill the time on

an existing phone.

I suspect that since the phones are bought from Tracfone, what they do is to toss a card in with the phone. I think I could leave the phone in the box and use the number on the card to refill the plan on my existing phone. I wonder how they could prevent that.

It looks as if you have to go through eBay for those offers. I don't see them on the Tracfone page, or maybe I'm getting tired of jumping through their flaming hoops.

10. Easy

In the past, people were doing what you said, and so now the year of service is coded to the phone
when you get it, and it only works on the new phone. There is no card in the box that you receive.
Naturally, you can go into your account on Tracfone and move your old number and existing service
to the new phone.

11. I figured my hope that I could use the time on my existing phone was too good to be true.

I'm delighted to hear that my fellow cheapskates are on the ball.

When I got my existing phone, there was no SIM card installed. It's an iPhone 6S. The only thing that makes it a Tracfone is the SIM card, which was in its own envelope. I could drop Tracfone and take the phone somewhere else (with a different SIM card), but Tracfone works for me.

I have no beef with the service; I'm just trying to find the most generous promo code.

Google Phone. Low monthly charges, decent service and my phone works off my internet when I'm in my home with no data charges. Very cheap compared to the big boys.

14. I got an extra year of service for $50

When I refilled text messages for $5. Also works when buying extra data. I'm on traction annual (not monthly and not auto refill). You don't get extra minutes that way, but I'm not a heavy user, so it still saves money just topping them up when needed.

15. I saw that. I didn't choose that option, though. I don't know what I'll be doing in two years.

If I'm still on Tracfone next year, I'll give that some thought.

They might end up having some special offer for Black Friday.
