...world's nations. (It wasn't animated of course.) I was too young, probably about 10 years old, to know what a Sankey diagram was, but I loved that Atlas and poured over it day after day after day. It was my first serious exposure to world history.

This animation strikes me as an interesting heuristic tool for young people.
