Better Days Ahoy
(698 posts)No thanks. I started cruising at four years old when my Dad ran the North American operations of Zim Lines. They owned a beautiful cruise ship back then. Back when it was elegant and cool, not a floating Greyhound bus with jamooks from Texas and Florida.
I'll take Holland America. Feels a cruise, not a Greek bender with 4,000 people I'd rather not associate with. Call me a snob. I'm fine with that.

(4,017 posts)I've been on a Royal Caribbean cruise.
The boat was huge, the food was thawed from frozen, and the outings were disorganized with people spending vast amounts of time waiting for ferry boats (tenders).
I much the two cruises I took on Carnival.
