20-year-old Bacall lounges on top of the piano while Vice President Harry S Truman plays for servicemen at the National Press Club Canteen in Washington, D.C.

I've read that the little wiggle dance was not scripted or planned. She just did it impulsively as the camera rolled, and it became a classic moment in cinema.

They don't make them like that anymore.
Somebody asked me what color Bacall's hair was. I have copies of three home photos Bogie took of her over the course of less than two years: in one, she's blonde, in another, brunette, and in the third her hair is auburn. What was the question again?
Bogie called her "Reds," though, in the movie which DU won't let me name for some reason (I keep getting a "403 Forbidden" error when I try to write the name!)
