I knew I wanted to post some music, but wasn't sure which song - I've posted so many of my favorites here already, some multiple times - so I was clicking all over YouTube last night, going from a video to recommendations, to see where that might take me and what might turn up serendipitously.

And I stumbled across this, which I'm pretty sure I haven't posted here before, though I love it. Amazing instrumentation, as you said.

And the spirit of the song, and some of the lyrics, do make me think of this DU community I love.

I remember cassettes.

Still have some around that I probably won't ever get rid of, especially the ones sent by a friend. Still have two working boomboxes (think they're still working) as well as a Panasonic tape recorder that could fit in a large purse. Even still have a tape recording of my favorite niece and nephew, now in their 40s, singing Christmas carols when they were kids. I used to play that tape for the cat I had then, who loved those kids and would come running when she heard their voices.
