planning a trip to my hometown Oakland, CA! Need reccomendations ;)

My Bday is actually New Year's but I'm planning a trip home to visit in a couple weeks...

Looking for "out of the ordinary" stuff to do and see... Since I grew up there I have seen most of the regular stuff. I wanted to visit Children's Fairyland cuz it was so iconic to my life, But they won't let adults in without a kid...(and mine are 19&20) damn.

Anyway..trying to coordinate a group brunch too, so any restaurant/brunch advice would be appreciated.

I'm excited to get out of the snow and freezing temps in Tahoe and play with my old friends for a hot minute... 53, here I come! GenX represent!

You access it off 13 in the Montclair area. Trails that rival ones I've hiked in Muir Woods or Santa Cruz Mountains.

It sounds like you're already doing the Lake Merritt stroll. Plenty of dispensaries around, including the iconic Harborside Health Center.

The walk along the Alameda waterfront's nice, too.
