(205,320 posts)Especially the Arctic wolves and the squirrels! I actually saw a black squirrel earlier this week! He was larger than his gray friend and I got closer to make sure it wasn't a cat (my Felix is all black, long-haired), but then I saw him jumping and sitting up on his haunches just like his gray friend - I'd never seen a black squirrel before!

(35,669 posts)When we would go to church as a family, my father would always fall asleep and snore. That was the look he got.
Because my mom was so insistent that we all go to church, I decided I would do my "time" as the church organist. I was only 12 but I got the job because the regular organist moved. I got to sit in a choir loft up above the entire congregation, minister included. No choir, just me and a big three keyboard plus foot pedals organ. There I ate candy bars and read mystery novels during the sermon.
It was a church with a liturgy. Sometimes I even ended the service early. The church organist has a lot of power, you know.

(21,848 posts)Any idea of its species? I kept looking at it and admiring the beauty of the colors. Very basic, white black and accents of yellow. Makes a good basic wardrobe.
Thanks, SCE, for this wonderful collection of photos, cartoons, and all you do.

(777 posts)Seen that behavior before. S Dakota, sub-zero morning. Followed Mr Squirt's tracks from the storage building cat room: Around the shop, check under the propane tank, along the back of the garden shed, check the woodpile, back into the cat room where he and Noni stayed the rest of the day. Patrol complete.
Thanks for another great collection.

(9,967 posts)THE LOOK!
My mom could do it, all 5'2 of her. I used it from the choir to make my kids straighten up and fly right in church and other times as well. My daughter inherited it and can use it to subdue her 6'2 son when necessary...or any of her other kids.
