and about half a dozen other magazines devoted to radio, TV, and various aspects of electronics. Loved PE as a kid, now it's gone. Where I first saw LEDs, laser diodes, 7-segment displays, ASCII encoding, early flat-panel display technologies, tape storage of data, etc., etc.

HG also invented the term "scientifiction", which didn't survive unchanged.
