ETA: I thought this was a jay! Ive not seen a white throated magpie before. So cool!

Some of the birds that visit my feeders like grapes, apples, oranges. The blue jays want sunflower seeds and peanuts

Like seeing an eagle or humming bird or tanager in Ohio. You still stop and say Ahhhh.

(16,898 posts)I'm on the Ohio River and it attracts bald eagles. 2 years ago, I was driving into Marietta, and saw 2 bald eagles doing barrel rolls with each other above an empty field. I have never seen anything like that. Really stirring We live on migration paths and see a lot ofthe flocks going back and forth, and some of those birds stay year around. I have feeders out. We used to feed hummingbirds, but I think my neighbor's bed of canas lurted them away. I might try again next spring.
