Those guys come through my part of Montana in the fall and spring. You hear them before you see them.

ETA: I thought this was a jay! I’ve not seen a white throated magpie before. So cool!

What my Ohio eyes think is exotic, you see often.

Some of the birds that visit my feeders like grapes, apples, oranges. The blue jays want sunflower seeds and peanuts

The birds here are common but still exciting.

Like seeing an eagle or humming bird or tanager in Ohio. You still stop and say Ahhhh.

I'm on the Ohio River and it attracts bald eagles. 2 years ago, I was driving into Marietta, and saw 2 bald eagles doing barrel rolls with each other above an empty field. I have never seen anything like that. Really stirring We live on migration paths and see a lot ofthe flocks going back and forth, and some of those birds stay year around. I have feeders out. We used to feed hummingbirds, but I think my neighbor's bed of canas lurted them away. I might try again next spring.
