(1,013 posts)Constantly for the past two-three hours. DISH went down, electric has flickered, only enough to get to reset everthing.
Since I can't walk and chew gum simultaneously have no music going. Sadly we've gotten four drops of rain, thunder, lightning but not much wind. Guess that means LynneSin have to ask you to listen to "Dark Side of The Moon" for me a few times, okay?
In fact as I sit here the ROLLLLLLLLLLing Thunder just began again.

Now, I'm more likely to go to sleep listening to an Old Time Radio program like "Gunsmoke" or
"Father Knows Best" -- or one of those online "environmental sound tools", usually with the
sound of lake loons, a distant train horn, thunder, rain and a crackling fire.

For music, I listen to this now (the full-album version of Nektar's "Remember the Future":

(3,527 posts)I heard this only once on late night FM radio but of course
the DJ didn't say who this band was and I had no access to
a telephone at the time it was playing.
Now it's 30 plus years later and here it is!
Consider my mind well and truly blown.
Thankx!

I had never heard of these guys before. I occasionally bought albums on impulse
like that, but the others had always pretty much sucked. They had great artwork
and shitty music.
.
This one was incredible and Nektar is a pretty big name among prog-rock fans (but
nowhere near as well-known as bands like Pink Floyd or King Crimson).
.
Often, prog-rock makes me think "pompous-rock"... but not this one.
.
Glad to help you make a connection. Thanks for YOUR post!!!

(2,068 posts)bootleg from Youtube alot. Brings back memories when I saw that Tour in Cleveland. Just as good as The WYWH 1975 Tour I was glad to have seen in Pittsburgh Pa. Some of that show in Pittsburgh June 1975 is also on Youtube. It's cool that I can actually listen to that concert 37 years later. I burned part of that to a CD. I still remember Roger Waters threatening to pull the band off the stage in Pitts. because people were throwing M-80s and firecrackers all around. I was hit in the neck with a Sparkle. Crowds were aweful back then.
