The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThanks SO MUCH for all the good wishes on my cataract surgery!
I really, really appreciate it and apologize for taking so long to check back in. When I got home, the only thing I fell like doing was taking a nice long nap, which I did, after grabbing a quick bite to eat.
Everything went fine, except I was more aware of everything that was going on than I would have preferred, despite the sedation. Memories are blurry, but I remember being uncomfortable and having trouble being completely still. Doc said they will give me heavier sedation when I go back to get my right eye done on 1/31. (YES, PLEASE!!!!)
Thanks again for all the responses on my earlier post! DU rocks!

(5,206 posts)My husband claimed he was totally awake and aware for his first eye and maybe he was. When they brought him to the car after his second eye he was BUZZED. I figure they made a note in his chart that 'this one needs MORE". lol Enjoy your new view of the world.
