Got a New Kitten

Took my 3 year old cat, Sassy, in to the vet for a check up and to get matted fur cut out. I've been trying, but made NO progress. Was worried they would have to lion shave her, and the cat would hide in embarrassment for a week. Good news, they were able to comb out the mats, and she was very cooperative.

Ever since my 18 year old cat, Shadow, passed I was thinking about getting another cat. Part of it was filling a void, but Sassy really did seem to be mourning the loss of Shadow, days later. She just seemed out of sorts. More mellow, more affectionate, less aloof.

Brought home an adopted kitten from the vet. They were trying to find homes for them. All three were adorable. My wife wanted a female. Two males and a female, so that made it easy. Still haven't named her. Twister was the name the vet had given her, but it just does not seem to fit. The wife has named all of our cats, even though they were mostly my cats.

New Kitten, who is proving to be a bit spunky with Sassy, but somewhat guarded with humans. She seems mostly interested in Furry-Americans.

Sassy, not terribly amused by this interloper, but she'll work it out. I am taking advantage and picking her up every chance I get. Normally she likes a bit less contact from her humans.

Sassy is *gorgeous*! I have a weakness for torties, especially the long hair variety.

New kitten is a cutie, too.
