I always felt that Look was an imitation of Life.

I had planned on becoming a photojournalist until the day that Life magazine went out of business. That day I decided to go into broadcasting and news instead.

It had great pictures and articles. It gave me a world view in the 50's and 60's I wouldn't have otherwise.

Life was an American magazine published weekly from 1883 to 1972, as an intermittent "special" until 1978, and as a monthly from 1978 until 2000
