We play Marshall. *L*

Noon kickoff, and i'll be working in downtown Morgantown later in the evening as we celebrate giving the Thundering Herd yet another thrashing in this made-up rivalry.

By the end of the game, i swear they were putting in the 5th-string walk-ons, the waterboys, and the tuba player from row 17 seat 5.

Geno Smith (our senior quarterback) is supposedly in the running for Heisman consideration... if he can put up numbers like he did today when we get to playing teams like Oklahoma and Texas (this is our first season in the Big 12), he'll get more than just 'consideration'.

Special teams need to improve. Kickoff team seems much better than last year but extra point and punting not so much.

Just sort of cringed...

And yeah, special teams are going to have to step up before we hit the in-conference games.
Bit i think we're looking at a pretty good year!

And tennis and golf. Anything with a ball. Seriously. He can see that they're playing on TV with balls...and that's his favorite toy...his ball. He runs up to the TV and barks and barks, when they throw the ball.

I, OTOH, plan to watch movies for my TV.

If I could never see nor hear anything about American football ever again I'd be a happy woman.

One of my colleagues, an alumnus, will give me the minute by minute, play by play report of the Ducks' game at work on Tuesday. Whether I want to hear it or not.

If they lost, it will be shorter and crankier.

the Wittenberg University Tigers 44 the Capital University Crusaders 17. Both schools are in Ohio. Wittenberg has lost only 2 games in the past 3 years.

I play favorites, my nephew is an offensive lineman for Wittenberg.

I was happy to see Penn State and Pitt lose. I was glad to see WVU win, but WVU and Marshall should meet later in the season. It's an inner state rivalry and should be played in true autumn.

but yes, I am looking forward to both the Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers football. A tad nervous about the reining MVP though.....he didn't show me a whole lot during the pre-season....and I know it was only preseason, but, My beloved Mr. Wilson of Wisconsin is the starting QB for Seattle for the seahags, ooops, I mean the Seahawks. Have never liked Seattle, but have to change my tune now because of both Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn. Yup gonna be a great season.....and I can't wait.
