Poor things must have flown right through Hurricane Isaac. I hope they found a safe and pleasant place to rest for the night.

Usually fall brings me to sadness, I hate the fact that the light goes away. I love the long days of spring and summer, hate the short dark winter days.

Yesterday was our 30th day this year above 90 in Detroit. Our normal is 10. I'm SO ready for this summer to be over.

oppressive. The humidity has been hell on allergies.

Fall is my favourite time of year.

I hope you get your bike all tuned up and you get out and enjoy some cooler weather Dennis!

South TX summers are about 5 months long--there's not much cooling before Oct. 1. Even though I prefer living in a warm, humid area with virtually no real winter weather, September is always a little depressing. The cold fronts start rolling down about once per week, but the first 4 or 5 will stall out between Austin and San Antonio.

Of course, in January, we will be terrified of the "brutal" winter weather. OMG, it's going to be 38 and rainy with a wind chill of 25, we're all going to freeze to death--lol!
