Yesterday, on a 3-hr trip, I found the Everly Brothers soothing.

I've always liked their music, but yesterday I thought their harmonizing was soothing.

I suspect that harmonies are soothing to the mind. I have a CD that "utilizes powerful and healing sound frequencies and pulses known to reduce stress and induce a feeling of calm."

in music.

Something that seems to be missing from a lot of what passes for music these days.

hell, even rock can/could be harmonic

I always loved Boston, for example

Their harmonies were wicked awesome. Well, to me, anyway.

Anyway, back to the Everly Brothers. Do you have a favorite song by them?

I have a couple.

This one because my daughter's name is Jennifer and she always got a kick out of the lyrics when she was a child...

but there are plenty of other songs of theirs that I like.

I always liked "Silver Haired Daddy" too.

siblings can sound really good together when they sing
if they have similar vocal cords like the way they might
look like each other, etc...

they blend well if they can make similar sounds...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timbre

but for caller-i.d.
They're rarely if ever together, not speaking to one-another, so THEY know who's talking!
