Another trip downtown today for work, I took a few photos.

Downtown Detroit, Michigan.

Renaissance Center -- the "showpiece" of downtown, opened in 1977. The round, tallest central tower is leased by General Motors as their world headquarters.

Hart Plaza:

Coleman A. Young Municipal Center tower 1 (rectangular building in front). This is where I have to go to the probate court:

View of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario, CA from the parking garage pedestrian entrance:

Foot of Woodward Avenue -- this runs about 30 miles NW all the way to Pontiac, and through my hometown/area:

Here's a little video for you. Yes, it's a Chrysler commercial, but it also really captured our city and showed it in an interesting light:

These are fascinating photos. The city looks dynamic and thriving, though I know there are still major problems.

I'm really intrigued by the building with the twist. Must be interesting inside.

And there's Canada, right across the lake! Very cool.

Thanks for sharing your world with us.

Nice photos of a clean city but it seems that nobody is there, except for people driving through.

I just try not to get people in my shots, some people (like me) get a little weirded out by some random stranger taking their photo, even if just a street scene.
