My oldest sister dropped off a HUGE box of vinyl for me to record to CD.
60's, 70's and 80's rock!
Cheap Trick, Foreigner, Kansas, Beatles, etc, etc...
My sister can find CD's brand new of many of her albums.
But putting on a CD that sounds like vinyl, complete with the occasional pop or slight skip, is great.
ACCCKKK!!!
Ted Nugent "Cat Scratch Fever" is in there!

(46,337 posts)It records mp3 files to a usb port, in "Audacity" I separate the tracks, then burn CD's from the tracks.
Recording the soundtrack to "Flashdance" at the moment.
How's that for 80's?

(12,132 posts)that had phone in - real life size RCA jacks - came from the "out to tape" jacks on the back of my receiver.
I recorded .wav format 44.1khz, 16bit stereo and burned straight to CD as CDDA.
That was back in the old days though - I'd probably do it to mp3 now simply because I have a cd player in my truck that can play mp3 cds.
I agree with Archae about the satisfying thunk of the needle drop and the occasional pop and hiss in my CDs though. I dig that sound.
