Post your bizarre dreams.

Here are my latest:

We (my sisters and a BIL) were at some kind of Catholic theme park, I think. Bea Arthur was all a-flutter at her opportunity to ride a flying jet-ski. We were in a room that was somewhat like a cave. The floor, the carved-out seating areas, the walls and the ceiling were covered with white batting you might see to simulate snow. There were religious icons, including a crucifix. There were windows. I walked in and, upset at what I saw, took off my royal blue sweater (that has been a cat bed for years). No bra. I knew I was being stared at, and I was embarrassed. Finally I wrapped my sweater around my boobs and kept walking around. Other people were there, some handling what looked like souvenirs. One guy had something like a cigarette case, and inside were tiny crucifixes on delicate chains.

There was to be a party for children at a house adjacent to a large park. There was a huge nasty soap opera surrounding the adult participants in this party. I was trying to clean up the kitchen -- peanut butter knives were everywhere, milk was spilled, dishes piled high. I could hear the dissent in the other room and stepped out to watch. One woman said she wasn’t going to bring what she’d promised and probably wouldn’t even show up. Another woman said, as if the first woman weren’t still present, “well if she ain’t showing up neither am I!” Some men just stood around looking whipped. Finally someone flounced out, dropping what she’d brought and cussing at everyone. Then everyone was milling about outside, complaining about the messy house and saying “well eff this, if s/he is quitting, so am I!” Then everyone was gone but me and Denise (a sister) , who had suddenly appeared. There was now no one to prepare and host the party, but the kids were due to arrive any minute. Denise said “well, I will put this party together!”

Then Bea Arthur flew by on her jet-ski.

1. Did you know that cats have a fairy queen?

Two nights ago, the cat fairy queen came to visit me. I really don't remember anything else about the dream.

The dream was probably caused by the fact that I'm apartment-sitting with EIGHT cats. Oh my! Have I learned a lot about cat quirks!

thing about my dreams is how I keep getting the same ones over and over again.

1. I'm stopped at a light at the top of a large hill when suddenly the brakes fail and the car goes rushing down the hill backwards faster and faster. I wake up before crashing into something or going over a cliff.

2. My back yard is filled with wild animals...black bears sometimes...other times it's large tigers running down the hill.

3. I'm surrounded by tornadoes

4. I'm in school and keep getting lost in the hallways trying to find my way out.

Nothing bizarre, really. Just recurring crap.

Most of all your dreams, or most of your bizarre dreams are pornographic?

Inquiring Freudians want to know.

Well first some recurring dreams:

Some are so normal or mundane that when I awaken I get to seriously wondering whether or not it was real, or that the events occurred. For example in the dream I'm writing checks and filling out my monthly bills ( water, electric, phone etc ) and sealing the envelopes to mail them. I check my bill box and checkbook drawer and see that it was all a dream.

Another is an average day, although quite often there will be people or places in the dream that don't fit due to the time frame and situation. For example seeing a my kindergarten teacher at work, or running into an old girlfriend in a foreign country we never been to. I recall very often as kid I'd have dream sunday night that I went through a school day, only to wake up totally bummed out it never happened and I have to re-live monday all over again. I've had dreams like that regarding work as well, waking up finding I'm no closer to my weekend.

A curious thing, and very common in my dreams is music. I never see the source, rather it just sort of permeates the atmosphere, and takes the banal and often inane form very much like a commercial "jingle".

Two weird ones I had recently:

Riding in a vehicle with others on a curvy elevated highway/freeway that twisted and turned through the old buildings of Prague Czechoslovakia. Now I have never been there, nor even spoke, read, heard reference to that place any time remotely recently. What the heck made me think of that?

A dream just a few nights ago, remembered due to it being so disturbing. In it I was courting, or attempting to woo a girl/woman, an acquaintance from some years back I've always had the hots for. Anyway, I was cutting a rug as they say around her and her ( now deceased ) parents but every time I seemed to be getting along with her and her parents, another guy ( a nondescript 30 something man i've never met ) kept trying to barge in and badmouth me, and in a very hostile way. Well the same thing happened again as we were standing on a beach front of a lake ( yes a lake, not a sea or ocean....such was the level of detail ) and this guy came at me from behind to hit or body check me and I waited till the last minute and dodged him, causing him to fall into the water. I jumped in and literally tried to drown him to get him out of the way of my courting this girl. I woke up feeling terrible I could think up such a thing.

I've had other very vivid dreams but as is common, details are lost shortly thereafter.

I'm chewing gum and somehow it swells and expands down my throat and is choking me. I try to pull it out and I keep pulling out these long sticky masses but I can't keep up with the rate that it's expanding.

Boyfriend wonders why I never chew gum or want any kind of sticky candy.

8. Had this one when I was a teen... I think a product of my Cold War-era worries

I'm somehow in the 1890s in a scene very much like
A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.

The sun is shining, the ladies are strolling under their parasols, children are laughing and playing games. Suddenly, the sky darkens. The Earth shakes. A thunderous voice sounds from the sky, "THE END OF THE WORLD!!!" Everyone panics - there's screaming and aimless running about for several seconds.

Then: silence. The sun returns to the sky, and everyone stands around, stunned and silent. A new voice comes from the sky, this time quite tinny, as if broadcasting from a cheap loudspeaker.

"This was only a drill. This was only a drill..."

I have a dream of driving the car I learned to drive in which was a green Triumph Spitfire that I miss to this day. Anyway in the dream I am driving sort of fast on a road banked by brick walls and it is very curvy and in the dream I get to this point where suddendly the brick wall is right in front of me and I slam on the brake and wake myself up with my foot pressed to the foot of the bed. Oh and I usually scream out loud. Recurs. Miss the car, love the bed...wake up laughing.
