A Bloody Mary Thread.

Been drinking them for 50+ years, All kinds, Here's the one I make on a pretty regular basis:
8 oz (?) glass
3 ice cubes
fill glass with 1/4 gin or vodka. I am partial to a good gin but Gordens is good.
Add V-8 to 2/3 inch of top.
Add some BM mix,,,,my favorite is Cape Cod.
Add a health splash of lime juice
Another healthy splash of Lee and Perrins
A couple of taps of powdered onion powder, garlic powder, and celery salt.

Stir.

Garnish if you mist.

the beer chaser; don't know how the tradition started. I recall my dad mixing beer with tomato juice, too. I grew up on a small farm and we canned our own tomato juice; he sometimes said he drank it that way to save money. It's just delicious IMHO

Myers Dark Rum
V-8 juice
Worcestershire (L&P) 20 drops
1/2 oz Lime juice

11. I don't know why V-8 doesn't partner up with L&P and some lime juice source to do a V-8 BM addition.

I often add L&P and lime juice to my V-8....yum!
