Army/Navy game. Did this actually happen?

In the 1960s during the Vietnam war, an admiral refused to support an army operation to punish Army for beating Navy in the Army Navy game. He got a call from President Lyndon Johnson who asked, "Are you going to disobey your orders and cause the death of thousands of American boys and maybe lose this goddam war because of some fucking football game?"

The admiral's answer began "Sir, no sir."
