https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1691573/1979-pontiac-firebird-trans-am-se-for-sale-in-miami-florida-33186* - I had this car back in the 80's. It got about 9 mpg in town, hence the "don't care about the environment".
** - Of course not final sales price and this car, I assume, is in "mint" condition / restored etc

(64,325 posts)... one's youth is a very stiff price.
I want an early sixties Dodge Dart slant six convertible in blue. My youth wasn't such an expensive proposition. And I wasn't in much of a hurry back then.

(64,868 posts)I get it, nostalgia for the "car you lusted for in your youth" or whatever. Sometimes, heroes are better left unmet. I see that 6.6 sticker. That means that boat anchor made all of what, 200 horsepower? Sure, low miles, looks like 11,500 from the ad. 11,500 miles of literally doing nothing well. This isn't even the Bandit year/version of the TA.
However, even after all that, if it's your money and it's what you want, enjoy!
