(28,819 posts)He was a starving street rescue who shows his appreciation to live with us.
In the picture, you can see notches that vet says are man made. For no reason. They dont notch vaccinated feral dogs here.
We dont deserve dogs. 🐕

Beausoleil
(2,843 posts)She was rescued from a raccoon as a feral kitten.
femmedem
(8,203 posts)Someone was very brave to rescue her from the raccoon.
Here are three of my five, all neighborhood rescues. You can't tell from this angle, but the Siamese on the left looks exactly like your Penny.
Beausoleil
(2,843 posts)Lucky Penny is correct. Unfortunately she was recently diagnosed with asthma so we are even more protective of her now.
Yours look comfortable and happy!

(22,480 posts)She does this at least once a day and sometimes many times. She just comes over and climbs on me.
I don't need a heart. I still have some to give away!
Tom Kitten
(7,347 posts)Pictures of her I entered in our photo contests. She's about 14 years old now, still running around!
Tom Kitten
(7,347 posts)I've enjoyed the thread - it helps ease the blood pressure especially after a visit to GD!
I found another picture of Coco hidden away on my imgur account. I don't know why but I haven't shared it before. It shows her bending ability.

(9,728 posts)Yes, actually born on the 14th. He loves to climb, being a short being I think he loves the change of perspective. On one of the trails we hike regularly there was a tree that had fallen, though not completely on the ground. It was stopped by its own branches and rested at approximately a 45 degree angle pointing up about 20 feet.
It was his favorite place to take a rest. Hed get up there and just lie down.
It has since completed its journey to the ground.

(65,050 posts)He doesn't do that to me, though!
Likes to put his head on my thigh, but that's about it.
But, not with mom!
Chainfire
(17,542 posts)Stella is a mix Black Lab and Chow Chow, a rescue. She weighs in at about 70 lbs. so she is not a lap dog.

He doesn't seem to care about girth!
Chainfire
(17,542 posts)She is laying by me as we speak waiting for me to finish typing to take her for a walk.

(16,862 posts)Casey, the black and white dog, died this morning, joining two of the others in this picture. I'm NOT doing this for a heart, only to have him known to people.

Thanks for taking him home, mom!!
Ziggysmom
(3,407 posts)gastritis and ringworm. It was amazing how fast he healed and filled out once he was in our home; he gained nearly a pound a month for six months. We can only manage two cats in our home, but we try to support our local shelters as much as possible. We fostered before my husband became disabled - that was rewarding, but SO hard parting with the little sweethearts after mothering them for weeks or months.

The tuxie on his legs was around 17. I have some cute pictures of her sitting on the floor surrounded by those babies. She died about 4 weeks after these pictures were made

(22,252 posts)He was part of a litter from a feral mom we fed and I managed to catch him huddled up in the cold. Brought him in the house and by the time I went to bed, he was a snuggler. He has never even attempted to go further outside than our screened porch
