46. He's going to be 12 this Valentines Day...

Yes, actually born on the 14th. He loves to climb, being a short being I think he loves the change of perspective. On one of the trails we hike regularly there was a tree that had fallen, though not completely on the ground. It was stopped by its own branches and rested at approximately a 45 degree angle pointing up about 20 feet.
It was his favorite place to take a rest. He’d get up there and just lie down.
It has since completed its journey to the ground.

69. Yes, those bat ears! When we adopted him he had been treated by the shelter for pneumonia,

gastritis and ringworm. It was amazing how fast he healed and filled out once he was in our home; he gained nearly a pound a month for six months. We can only manage two cats in our home, but we try to support our local shelters as much as possible. We fostered before my husband became disabled - that was rewarding, but SO hard parting with the little sweethearts after mothering them for weeks or months.

The tuxie on his legs was around 17. I have some cute pictures of her sitting on the floor surrounded by those babies. She died about 4 weeks after these pictures were made
