Yesterday and today, I did the the semi -annual redemption run.

Yesterday, it was the emptied packaged 6 packs/12 packs (90% Allagash White 12 oz. cans @ $7,50 @ $.05/can)....you do the math. It's a Belgium-style wheat beer and my niece works for the company, 2 good reasons to support a Maine Brewery.

Today, it was the bags of loose cans/bottles and the wine bottles (@ $.15 per). I figured the total at 283 cans and 52 wine bottles. Think that worked out to $21,80......I settled for a $20 spot.

Blows my mind how many bottles/cans are in the redemption center,,,,,literaly packed to the ceiling....probably a space with 10 x 30 x 15 cubic density.

On, and I wash out 100% of the cans/bottles because who likes handling a sticky mess of cans and bottles?

It was a long winter.....

You'll never guess what I bought with this windfall....and I get to return them for cash, again!

But a pat on the back and free (during business hours) access to the containers in which to deposit our returnables!

I would glad to get $5 for my stuff.
