Willie is easy to sing along with because he really does not have a lot of range in his voice. Plus he writes great songs. Did you know he wrote Walking After Midnight which was a big hit for Patsy Cline?

:50 through 1:05 is *chef’s kiss*

I miss my car so much.
Driving and singing along was one of my favorite things.
Have noticed I’m not listening to as much Yes and Radiohead. My car was the perfect place: it sounded great and my horrible voice was drowned out by sheer volume, lol!

My other favorite:

One of my friends in Nashville owns Mr. Miller's old house. We used to have jam parties there all the time. And, it was a given that we would do this song, in the same room where it was written. (We are pretty sure it was in that room.)

The younger me, when I still had my range, loved singing to:
• More Than A Feeling
• Highway Star
• September
• Roubdabout

Now that i can't hit all those notes, probably Radar Love or Don't Fear The Reaper.

But, I've sang LOTS of songs in the car!

..I have to be on-pitch because my fun is finding a harmony & singing the whole song in 2 part harmony with the singer.
Now, my wife even does that. She's heard me do it a million times!

Cases in point.

The Chumbawamba song. I thought it was:
I get up down
But I get up again
Because it happens in the lead guitar

Grateful Dead “Sugar Magnolia”
She’s got everything delightful
She’s got everything I need
Takes the wheel when I’m seeing double
Pays my tickets when I speed.

For about 20 years (and I heard this song a lot living near Hampton) I heard:
Takes the wheel when I’m seeing double
Feeds my chickens when I sleep.

Paul Kossoff the originator of the style, should have gotten the fame that Mick Ralphs got
but if you love "All right Now"...

You should hear Backstreet Crawler! Paul's band after Free/Paul Rodgers
