Woman spends 3 years trying to make a cat like her
Ah, Peanut reminds me of the Siamese cat I got on Easter when I was 6, Yum Yum. Several months before, we got two Siamese kittens, Koko and Yum Yum (my mom loved "The Mikado" ). When we had them spayed and neutered, Yum Yum never woke up from the anesthesia and I was heartbroken. So a few months later, my folks gave tiny little Yum Yum 2.0 to me and Yum Yum loved only me. She would act just like Peanut with everybody else but I could cart her around and she was putty in my hands. Everybody else called her "that old dragon" but she was my best friend. The only time we had a slight falling out was when I took up the oboe in middle school. Every time I tried to practice, it would infuriate her to the point that she'd start biting the bell of the instrument but never me. I would end up practicing in the car. Granted, until you get the hang of it, the oboe does sound like a ruptured duck.
I'm sure that oboe is still being used at the school with Yum Yum's little teeth marks on it, lol. She and my folks made peace when I went to college, though. I still miss that cat.
