What was the first movie/TV series on DVD you ever bought?

1. Movie: The Magic Sword

(medieval fantasy movie that starred Basil Rathbone in his post-Sherlock Holmes days)

TV series: The Beverly Hillbillies

2. Movie: Probably "Neverland," picked up in a $5 bin

TV series: the original BBC The Office

I now have lots of DVDs, mostly old and foreign TV series.

TV series: NYPD Blue season 1

4. Movie = the Matrix, TV Show = 1st season of Futurama

And I was also one of the first people I knew to own a CD burner and DVD-ROM drive several years before they became standard equipment on PCs.

5. On DVD? 'Rear Window'

Original 1954 version. Other DVDs followed. A good many were movies I previously had on VHS. Went through the same crap with the vinyl to CD revolution. Cost me lots of $$.

I've never bought any movies on DVD. Since I normally watch only once, I figured it was better to rent.

7. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

first movie. The Prisoner was the first TV series. Very overpriced but loved it still. Cost almost $200 to get 18 episodes (original 17 plus alternate version of The Chimes of Big Ben or COBB as it may be cluefully known)
