Songs with very long titles (I have the winner here:)

By Christine Lavin:

"Regretting what I said to you when you called me at 11:00 on Friday morning to tell me that 1:00 Friday afternoon you were gonna leave your office, go downstairs, hail a cab, to go out to the airport, to catch a plane, to go skiing in the Alps for two weeks. Not that I wanted to go with you; I wasn't able to leave town, I'm not a very good skier, I couldn't expect you to pay my way, but after going out with you for three years, I don't like surprises. (A Musical Apology)"

(yep, that's the title)

The only other long title I can think of is "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?"

years ago when I was in college I memorized it to have a sure fire winner in any dorm trivia contests. It was a song I believe was written by Hoagie Carmichael at the end of WW II and was credited as the longest song title (the one above would have obviously eclipsed it):
"I'm a cranky old Yank in a cranky old tank on the streets of Yokohama with my Tokahama baby singing those beat-o, beat-o, flat-on-my-seat-o Hirohito blues."

Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

One step closer

[Chorus:]
I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

Now I wish when I saw Nile it was the show your son opened for them. I tried to cut my hair once and was miserable for a couple years so I let it grow back - but too late...it didn't all come back ...lol

I'm working on a Larry now. (Dharma's dad from Dharma and Greg)...

You might see me in some of those Return To The Pit galleries - I think they shot a lot of the Maryland Death Fests and I went to 3 in a row - so I'd be in crowd shots...

I hope your son keeps playing!

I had never heard of Nile before he told me about the gig..
You are a metal head!
And never thought I would communicate with someone from DU that has even heard of Return to the Pit!
He also opened for Powerman 5000 ...another band I had not heard of...
Of course I had heard of Rob Zombie...

He had to cut his hair for a job .... alas.
Good luck with your growth

He and his band are still going strong...same name..new members, (Just Jonas and the drummer from original band)
He writes all the music...
CD coming soon...I cant wait!

peace~
