Creed's lead singer Scott Stapp on why he won't vote for Obama

Oh I know this will break the hearts of DUers everywhere

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/02/creed-romney-scott-stapp-obama_n_1932141.html

Creed frontman Scott Stapp stopped by "Fox & Friends" to make a big announcement: He will not be voting for Obama.

Stapp made his remarks Tuesday morning, noting that the recession (which he calls "the great correction&quot was indicative of a failed Barack Obama presidency. The singer voted for Obama in 2008, but says he is just too disappointed to support the president's bid for a second term.

"I'm just disappointed. I had very high hopes and expectations and was really inspired by President Obama," Stapp said. "And I still am, he's an amazing speaker. But in my opinion, his administration [made] a lot of promises, but no real delivery."

Stapp stopped short of endorsing Mitt Romney. Instead, he said he wished a candidate would lay out a grand vision for the country.

Even still Romney doesn't get an endorsement. I thought douchebags always supported each other

They're in the running with Nickleback for worst rock band of the last twenty years.

Stapp's career can be summed up as:

"Yay Jesus!"
"Is...is that my wife and my best friend?"
"Yay cocaine and Jesus!"
Rehab
"Yay alcohol, cocaine, and whassis his name! Jessie!"
Rehab
New album? (No one bought it, so no one is sure.)
Now he's apparently running to whoever will pay attention to him.

what DIRT!

"Family
In 1997, Stapp married Hillaree Burns. They were married for 16 months and divorced in 1998 and she later gave birth to Stapp's son, Jagger. Creed's song "With Arms Wide Open" is about their son.
On February 11, 2006, Stapp married Miss New York USA 2004 winner, children's literature author, and model Jaclyn Nesheiwat.[38] Their daughter, Milán Hayat Stapp, was born on January 4, 2007. In May 2010 the couple announced their second child Daniel was due in July 2010.[39] The Stapps welcomed son Daniel Issam Stapp at 3:01 pm on Sunday, July 4, 2010. Scott Stapp now has three children (2 sons and 1 daughter). Stapp also has two sisters, Amanda and Amie.[40] Stapp and his family currently reside in Boca Raton. He is a Christian.[41]
[edit]Legal troubles
In July 2002, he was detained by Florida police and charged with reckless driving after he drove his SUV off the road before swerving back into the proper lane. He was released from custody after posting $500.[42]
He was also arrested February 12, 2006, one day after his second marriage, for suspected intoxication.[43]
On May 20, 2007, he was arrested for domestic abuse; after returning home after a night of partying, Stapp was questioned by his wife Jaclyn and got defensive and threw a bottle of Orangina at her. She called the police and her husband was taken into custody and charged with one count of assault, although he was later set free on supervised release.[44] Stapp apologized to his wife and the public on May 23, 2007, and the charge was later dropped.[45]
A sex tape of Stapp and Kid Rock receiving oral sex on a tour bus in 1999 became public in 2006. In an interview about the 45 minute tape, Stapp said he did not believe oral sex was actual sex. Stapp says he and Kid Rock have not spoken since the tape became public. [46]

I can't imagine trying to sell that. But that must have been one weird bus trip. The over the top pseudo Christian Stapp and the redneck Kid Rock. Not a combo I would have expected to hang out together.

but they aren't even in the same zip code as the suck that is/was Creed.

In the history of rock and roll there is no band with any kind of successful track record that sucks as much as Creed. The fact that Creed is still able to sell albums & concert tickets makes me weep for the future of our country.
